“O beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, for purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain! AMERICA! AMERICA! God shed his grace on thee and crowned thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea!
Throughout my day, the song: “America the Beautiful” has played several times and as I listen more closely I am reminded and stricken with grief and gratitude for people I did not know who has made a difference in my life today because of what they did many years ago. Not only myself, but all of us should be waving “Ole Glory” with Grace and Dignity. She should be mounted with pride and let her flow as if she is speaking on behalf of the men who died.
As we all celebrate this glorious day of Independence we have so many people to be thankful for. Lets start with the birth of the Declaration of Independence shall we. BE MINDFUL: “That all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these rights are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness . . .” We also need to pledge to one another to become a stronger nation. “THE NATION UNDER GOD” We Americans should reach out to assist someone in distress, we Americans should pray and be thankful everyday for our freedom. We Americans should seek, Honesty, Trust and Integrity. Get back to basic’s of life with a handshake that meant your word. Be true to your words, and most importantly seek and keep GOD first.
As I watched the History station today, I learned so much more about OUR first President, George Washington and his actions, motives, risks, love, peace, and sacrifices he endured to make our Country what it is today. I am very grateful for the sacrifices the men endured to subdue the rebellion of the British. May God Bless those men, who were just mere young boys, those boys were their mothers son, those boys were their fathers son, those boys had brothers and sisters, and many other family members and friends who never saw most of them ever again. Because of what they did for us.
Come on Americans stand together, stop fighting amongst yourselves, stop stealing from whomever; stop the bitterness, stop the hatred attitude. Please, I am asking you: stop stop stop all the wrong doings in your life. Stand up, be proud, and make a change today. It is the beginning of a new day, new attitude, new dreams and goals. Go for it America!!! It is my challenge to you. Start everyday upon waking up in the morning, and thanking God for another day. Make a difference in a strangers life and the outcome for you is a blessing. Smiles are free, share many. Start setting better examples for your children, show patience, give hugs, say I love you more, look at your child when they speak to you. How easy is this? Try it, you won’t be sorry. Life is beautiful, generous and forgiving. Please change yourself, I am! If one person changes, then another follows, and before you know it, we would be on to something. A something that works! Becoming United.
I pray for all of you, I pray for my family and my friends. I ask God to give us the wisdom and knowledge to make a difference and continue that task daily. Be thankful and remind yourselves of those brave warriors who sacrificed their lives for us here in the United States of America. Furthermore; uphold The United States Constitution. Remember the men who wrote the Constitution and be thankful you live in the United Sates of America. I am!
Have a Blessed Independence Day and may God be with you all.
