Obviously, Phelps needs no introduction. He’ll be back rocking our world (and our magazine covers) at the London Olympics this July. We’re really hoping that FINA makes those full-body swimsuits illegal this year. Visible abs make you swim harder. Fact.
The Real Madrid striker and all-around stand-up guy Ronaldo is the captain of the Portuguese national soccer team, currently playing in the Euro Cup. Not only is he a devoted single dad, he’s also a very public non-drinker. Swoon.
Although he’s only been in the NBA for a few years, Durant has already won pretty much every honor there is, except for the Championship. (Fingers crossed, OKC Thunder!) He has lots of very impressive stats, but we can’t get over the fact that he is six-foot-nine. Dude is tall.
The recent champion of this year’s French Open, Nadal is one of the best tennis players in the world. Definitely the gruntiest.
It’s thought that we’ll look back on Roger Federer as the greatest tennis player of all time, and if nothing else, he’s definitely the classiest. Look for him and his floppy hair at this year’s Wimbledon and U.S. Open.
This Dutch footballer has many accomplishments, but we’re most delighted by the fact that he is ambidextrous. Cool!
Parise is the captain of the New Jersey Devils hockey team, which just lost the Stanley Cup to the Los Angeles Kings. He’s probably very sad about it…won’t someone go cheer him up?
Not only is the Serbian-born Djokovic an amazing tennis player, he’s also an extremely funny and extroverted guy who speaks several languages, so he’s a regular on late-night talk shows. He often does impressions of his fellow tennis stars’ personal quirks. It’s hilarious; YouTube it.
