Friends kindly gave me all their no-longer-needed various baby carriers to try out, and my hands-down favorite is my sling from Mamma's Milk. Actually, my friend Elizabeth, brought me a shiny new one. It is pink and chocolate brown with a fun floral motif. But what makes it awesome is that my baby loooovvvveees it. She sleeps in it for hours on end. Now that she's four months and willing to take naps in her crib more, I use the sling when we are out and about. It hangs fashionably from my diaper bag... much less cumbersome than the Bjorn or Snugli.

As my baby grows, I can position her in different ways, so she won't outgrow her sling for a couple of years. The sling came with a diagram, but I found just fooling around with it, trying different things, worked best for us.
