When you live in Atlanta, Emory is hard to miss. There’s the university and the hospital—a few of them actually—and a network of doctors offices all over the city and in the suburbs. I like a friendly, personal touch with healthcare, so normally I would bypass a big operation like Emory. But when I needed a new doctor because my downhome small-practice guy up and retired ... Emory was at least willing to give me an appointment.
Since then, I’ve never looked back. I have a family doctor and an endocrinologist all through Emory. My records are conveniently linked in the computer system. I recently had a need for, of all things, a nephrologist. My condition was minor, but the specialist, Dr. Arlene Chapman, took my pain seriously and got me on the road to recovery.
I hope I don’t have a need for top-of-the-line medical treatment, but if I do I feel like I’m in good hands with Emory.
