Suma the Elephant is a parable that is simple, yet has tremendous depth, tugs at your heart, turns on the water works, and makes you look at your life more honestly. It's a simple, short story about an elephant who is captured by a band of monkeys and is held captive, not by their strength, but by what they made her believe to be true. Her perspective on life was warped by the vindictiveness of these monkeys. She was made to believe that she was weak and powerless when in fact the opposite was true. How many of us are going through life held "captive" with a weaker picture of who we "think" we are? We need to believe in ourselves, not in the voice of the outside world. This story will start you on that journey. Also, wonderful as a gift for anyone who needs inspiration and change in their lives.
