The incomparable Israel Houghton and New Breed has certainly taken captive their audience of true worshippers to another anointed level of praise and worship. As only Israel can, the listeners are led forth into the sacred place. With profound song styling this group of musicians and singers re-worked songs that were written in years past and made them come alive again. Jennifer Randolph’s “Joy of My Desire,” which happens to be a favorite of mine back when she originally wrote it, is especially sensitive to the worshipper’s heart. Bishop Joseph Garlington makes a cameo appearance with his rendition of “So Easy to Love You.” Notably the “Breakthrough” and “Friend of God” melodies are the highest points in this project, along with very prayerful “Breathe into Me.”

This music is a compilation of prayer and worship that stands clearly upon its own musical merit. I applaud my brothers and sisters from Texas for a completed task well done!
