Alisa and I both read Happiness Now by Robert Holden this past summer. For both us, on different levels, this past summer was one of upheaval and turmoil in our lives. This book was a literal godsend! As a matter of fact, we both had to hold ourselves back from booking into one of Robert’s next workshops in England last fall.

The title of this book Happiness Now says it all. Fundamentally, happiness is not something we pursue, it is something we choose in this moment, and this moment, and this moment.

With a combination of stories, exercises, meditations, poetry, and prayer, Robert focuses on keys to emotional healing, true self-acceptance, relationships, inner confidence, and pure peace of mind. He approaches the same message from so many different angles, you cannot read this book and not get that happiness is a choice that we all have.

As with any kind of self-development book, you will need to do the work to change your habits to keep in line with what you want. I can tell you; this is well worth the effort.

We know that the Law of Attraction matches our vibrations and continues to give us more of what we focus our attention and energy towards. If we can manage to choose happiness as a feeling most of the time, that is the frequency we will vibrate from and we will continue to attract more of the circumstances, people and experiences that we want, more joy. This book will help you choose Happiness.

In this fast paced, information age we allow the world around us to impact how we feel. Robert conveys this perfectly when he writes “ … we have lost faith in ourselves and placed all our attention on the world outside. Now it is the world, it seems, that must ‘make us happy’—herein lies the source of all our misery.”

With a New Year ahead of you don’t settle for a “near life experience.” Make a decision now to be happy and live fully, in the moment, deliberately.
