Do you know a couple who is expecting? I know at least five right now, so I’ve been looking for ways to support them other than just sending a yellow or green colored outfit. I discovered a spa program, called Barefoot & Pregnant, at a hotel just outside of San Francisco that takes pregnancy very seriously. It offers a Babymoon package for couples that prepares them mentally and physically for the birth of their new baby—services like pre-natal massages, facials, hand and foot treatments, romantic picnics, and more. I hear that women most appreciate the belly cast because it gives them a much-needed softer viewpoint of their bodies.
When the couple gets home, they can use the thoughtful items in the gift basket (included in the purchase of a package): an eye spa pillow, lotion, candles, tea, a book called “Spa Mama” and my favorite—a DVD called the “Toolbox for New Dads.”
For us ladies who aren’t preg-o, I’m hoping the company launches a “Barefoot & PMS’ing” package.
