I’m a sensitive girl. No, I’m not talking about my emotions, although I can cry within seconds of hearing certain songs. I’ve got sensitive, fair skin that freckles. I prefer liquid foundation because I like the coverage it provides. I just tried Neutrogena’s new Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation and I love it. It’s suitable for sensitive skin and contains time-released anti-oxidants. It also provides SPF 20 protection, which is something I look for as I approach 40. I love the compact design and price (retails for $12.99) and I also like the fact that it seems to be a much quicker application process than blending my traditional liquid foundation. I have to get myself and two little girls ready every morning, so if I can shave any time off my morning routine it’s a bonus. I was skeptical that this powder foundation wouldn’t provide enough coverage, but it blends well, looks natural, and camouflages all my problem areas. It’s so easy to apply, I might actually get caught putting it on in my car in the mornings.  I do everything else in my car, from eating breakfast to catching up on voice mails, so it's a tempting thought.

Laura: You are SO lucky you have never worn foundation! I tend to need something really light in the summer, but in the winter I need more coverage. Plus I have always had dark circles under my eyes and I am fair skinned.

I have to actually disagree with the writer. I am 60 years old and never wore foundation in my life. However, I have two age (or perhaps, sun spots) on both cheeks and the spots show through my blusher as a "darker" shade. As I was hesitant about trying a liquid foundation, I also first tried Neutrogena Sheer Minerals powder foundation and it really did NOT cover the spots. I was recommended to try Cover Girl Advanced Radiance cream foundation from another beauty website. AND IT IS FANTASTIC. It contains Olay ingredients so it feels more like I am applying a tinted moisturizer to my face than a foundation. It is very light and i apply it as i would my daily facial moisturizer and blend it in. Takes less than 10 seconds and to me the look is fantastic. It covers the spots and even helps my blusher and lipstick/lip gloss look smoother and better. I have always wanted to look like the models i see in magazine ads with their flawless skin and now i do thanks to Cover Girl.

I have to agree! I have been wearing Bare Minerals for years now! I never would wear my makeup cuz it felt so nasty on my skin and did not last long enough to get through the day. Top that with my very sinsitive face and wham, no dice! I woud go without unless a very special occasion. Period! Then a friend introduced me to BE and I could not believe the diference it made!!! It stayed looking good all day and the best part was I did not feel nore look af though I even had it on, yet somehow it covered my issues! YEAHHHH The fact it has an SPF and is all natural makes it all the better for me! Especailly the part of it being all natural, no fake stuff in my face! AND it actually clears your skin up. I do not need to wear every single day when I am at hoem, but I find if I am starting a break out, I dab a little on it nad no more problem area ;) Whatever brand you try, it is well worth it and they blend wonderfully to make your own special color match!
