Up until a few months ago I really had not paid a whole lot of attention to the type of baby wash/shampoo I was using with my son. It seemed like they were all basically the same except for fragrance. Now I know better. Elijah’s skin is apparently fairly sensitive and this winter he began to develop occasional rashes, usually around his forehead along the line of his toboggan and then spreading onto his torso.

The pediatrician diagnosed it as heat rash. I tried various moisturizing washes and lotions but none seemed to soothe the itch or clear the rash until I tried Aveeno. It seemed to help the itching quickly and the rashes cleared more rapidly. I also like the light fragrance it has. It lathers up better than other products I’ve used and rinses clean easily. Since we’ve started using it and switched from a knit hat to a fleece hat, he hasn’t had any more heat rashes. My only complaint would be that it is generally more expensive, but to me it’s worth it.
