The Daily Puppy: A Boring Internet?

Bad-boy, billionaire, businessman, Mark Cuban recently blogged that, “The Internet is Dead and Boring.” As much as I’d like to respond with an intellectually thoughtful post, I think I’ll let the Internet speak for itself.

I don’t know how it happened or where I was when I clicked through, but I stumbled upon The Daily Puppy. Much like favorites cuteoverload and stuffonmycat, this is a website that very simply solicits puppy photos and posts them.

Readers can sign up to have puppies delivered to their inboxes, drop a widget on their personal website, or subscribe via RSS, and are encouraged to rate the pooches with 1 to 11 biscuits. Commenting is active and reveals a goofy, fun-loving community of adoring fans. As reader Yourmomsage channels Star Trek’s Scotty she writes, “This pup is so cute, my head can’t hold all the cuteness, ‘She’s gonna blow, Captain, I kinna hold her innymore …’ Kaboom!”

Before visiting, be warned that the content is so cute that it could break your hard drive or crack your LCD. Cuban, we’re lucky that this single website hasn’t broken the entire Internet. Honestly, how can you claim that the Internet is dead and boring when it’s full of so much snuggly goodness?

Woof!

Price: Priceless at dailypuppy.com.

Thank you for telling us about this. I went to the site and it put an instant smile on my face. It literally lifted my spirits from a very somber start to the day. Love it!

My managing director just sent me this URL because she knows how Canine Crazy I am--gotta say, it brightened my day! Anyone who could see a puppy and not smile is a Grinch!

My husband and I raised 3 sons, which was so much fun - but now they are married and have homes of their own. Our home would not be home without our wonderful 2 Boston Terriers and our 2 chihuahuas (not the yippy, biting kind). Animals behave in the manner in which they are taught. Of course, my husband being a veterinarian doesn't hurt! In the evenings, we all gather round and watch TV together - all 6 of us. Our lives would be so, so dull and boring without them. They are smart, they obey, and best of all they love us unconditionally. God did a great thing when he made dogs!

I love it. My dogs come when I say "children"!

The website it great. Of course, we have 3 little dogs, we call 'our kids', since our real kids are grown & gone. We love the furbabies & the website.
Daddies and Daughters

With Father’s Day coming up, we are thinking about our dads and what they’ve meant to us. Whether you had a dad you adored, or feared, or admired, a dad who was always at work, a dad who believed in you, a dad who left, a fun dad, a strict dad… Tell us about him >>
