There are many movies out and due out this summer that I plan or have seen.  This one has been my favorite thus far.  Ever since seeing Fight Club in high school, I've been obsessed with Edward Norton.  When I heard he was playing Bruce Banner/The Hulk I was thrilled.  The cherry on top was that Tim Roth was playing his nememis, Emil Blonsky/Abomination I was even more excited.  I've always loved him since his role as Mr. Orange in the Tarantino flick, Reservoir Dogs.  Rounding out the cast is Liv Tyler who plays the love interest, Betty Ross and her father General Ross, played by William Hurt.

Now, I'll admit, I am a sucker for the classic comic book movie.  I love them!  I'm not sure why; I never read comic books as a child or teen but they always pique my interest when I hear about them coming out.  Perhaps it is because I always loved the old Superman & Batman movies when I was a kiddo.  To make this all the better, the main character is played by Norton.  How could I miss it?

I don't want to give any spoilers away but I will say that I think the producers made the perfect choice in casting for this movie.  Norton, as always, delivers a fantastic performance.  His acting is believable and relateable.  The CGI is good and doesn't look too cartoonish.  Though it starts slow, the action builds and gets heavy but not overwhelming.  The storyline is really good and you feel for The Hulk and Ross and how it affects their relationship in addition to the strain it puts on the relationship between Ross and the General.

There were also some kids in the movie and I thought this was a fun movie though you might avoid it for the really little ones.  There is quite a bit of violence and a make-out scene but the boys in the theater I went to were probably 7 or 8 and didn't seem bothered at all.  They seemed like they were on a guys day out since they were with one of the kid's dad.  I assume that would be one of those personal parental choices based on how your kid reacts to that stuff and how you view child rearing.
