I wish I was one of those woman who didn’t have to wash her hair all the time. I admire those with thick locks and their carefree way of stating, “Thanks for the hair compliment—I didn’t even wash my hair today!” Must be nice.
I, on the other hand, have had the same hair texture since I was six. Thin and straggly.
I’ve read that it’s healthy to leave hair unwashed occasionally but I’ve got fine hair, oily after an average day, and I’d like to go for the polished look over greasy, no matter what the beauty magazines say. I’ve tried baby powder, avoided conditioning, and used volumnizing shampoo, but in order to avoid looking as if you could fry an egg on my head, I’ve had to wash my hair every single day, or pull out the old headband collection.
Then on one “I’m feeling ugly” day, I wondered into Sephora and I came across an unheard of product called the Rub-Out Dry Cleanser by Ojon. The company Ojon claims to be “the people of beautiful hair” which is cute and all, but let’s get straight to the product. Basically, you simply spray it onto unwashed hair and it will “erase” excess oil and build up without water. Wow, that’s quite a claim, I thought. I bought the sample size for a test run, but felt skeptical.
Fast forward to the next morning when I managed to oversleep, on a workday, and after a huge “I hate this” sigh, I jumped out of bed and tried to throw myself together. I grabbed the Rub-Out Dry Cleanser and I figured this would be the ultimate test. If this product fails me, the “the people of beautiful hair” will be receiving an ugly review. I followed the directions, brushed the product quickly through my hair, and off I went. The lingering scent left a good first impression.
Once I arrived at work, I thought I’d do a quick check in the bathroom mirror to see if Ojon passed the test. Wow, “the people of beautiful hair” know what their doing. I’ve gone from thin and straggly morning hair to delicate and baby soft. I’ve even got a little volume too. I’m not talking straight out of the hair salon style, but pretty close.
Oily scalp, flat hair, traveling with no time for a shampoo, whatever the circumstances, the Rub-out Dry Cleanser is your rescue and then some, including a scent that I wish they’d make in perfume form.
All Ojon products are eco-friendly too (for real)—absolutely no CFCs. Eco-bonus, skipping on a hair wash here and there, and you’ll be saving water too.
Visit Ojon and test some more of their products. They’ve aced my test!
