When going through security, or trying to pay a vendor on a busy street, the last thing you need is to start fumbling around with your bags. This creates the perfect situation for a travel disaster like losing your wallet, being pick pocketed, or having everyone in the security line glare at you for holding things up.
In preparation for a recent trip to Thailand, I was on the lookout for a small travel bag to avoid the above disasters. This dream bag of mine would hold the essentials and be appropriate for all occasions—shoving through bustling markets, riding an elephant, visiting temples, or island hopping. I didn’t want something too big or too small; I hoped for something stylish but tasteful, and of course, like with anything I purchase, it’s going to have to last forever. (I’m the picky buyer type who sales people tend to give up on.)
Turns out all I needed was a little lug.
LugTravel products are bottom line practical. This clever company has created modern travel bags—from totes to purses, makeup bags to wallets—that reflect current travel trends. The designs are clean, the colors sharp, and each product is well thought out and functional.
I found my dream travel bag through lug and a few others things too.
Here’s what I picked up:
Moped Day Pack Bag
This slim bag lays close to your body and has a thick side shoulder strap. If a thief tries to take it, he will be taking me and my flailing limbs with them. For immediate reach, the inside flap has a hidden mesh pocket to store one’s passport or money. A magnetic clasp automatically secures the bag shut each time you open and close it. There are loads of pockets and compartments for all your things—everything has a place; nothing gets lost.
Nap Sac Travel Blanket
Your plane is delayed and your weary body can’t hold itself up. You’ll feel saved by the Nap Sac travel blanket, which includes a pillow and gadget pocket, all made of the coziest material. It can be used as a substitute for those grimy airplane pillows, or those sheets in that cheap hotel that you got too much of a discount on. This adult blankie provides immediate comfort when traveling or even when lounging at home.
Clearview Envelopes Two Pak
Anxious airport goers will admire your style as you breeze through security with all your carry-on goodies in these clear-view bags. I bought my mom, the jet setting businesswoman, a set in orange for her fashionable, yet practical (I think it’s genetic) tastes. Security guards can now see that her face cream is not a lethal weapon and she can carry on through security with ease.

I did look at the bags -great looking but some are pricey! I DO love Travelon bags - they are "hands free" for traveling and the prices are decent as well. I have a red leather bag that holds my cell phone, digital camera, all my cards and my boarding pass and has a long strap from my shoulder that also becomes a fanny bag if I want - under $30!
