I was not a big fan of ABBA so I thought, until I saw the summer release of Mamma Mia starring Meryl Streep. The story is fun, fast moving and a bit predictable but an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

The musical numbers are fun and full of energy. You might even find yourself feeling a bit cheesy as you tap your feet to music that takes you back to a simpler time. This is a feel good movie with beautiful scenery and fun performances by some of my favorite actors.

Is it Oscar worthy? Probably not.  It is however worthy of a Sunday afternoon. Surely.

Having seen the live musical 2 days prior to seeing the movie, I was a little let-down by the singing voices, but overall, I agree that it was entertaining and beautiful. Meryl Streep is STILL an unbelievable actress...always will be!
