Not everyone has the luxury of shopping for their wedding dress in an upscale boutique, flattered and pampered by friends and admiring salespeople. You think trying to find a parking place within a mile of that chic downtown salon is tough? Read what former bride Lisa Haines (now Mrs. Haines-Betteinger) wrote to me at HereComesTheGuide.com: “Sheri at The Red Dress: Vintage Style Clothing was my internet savior! I am in the army, and at the time that I was trying to put my wedding together, I was stationed in North Pole, Alaska.”

Let’s all stop for a moment and imagine that, shall we? First thought: Would an army-issue parka make me look fat? Second thought: The North flippin’ Pole!! Third Thought: I hope Lisa honeymooned on a tropical island…and took plenty of sunscreen.

Now back to our story:

“Not only did Sheri give me prompt responses, she also went the extra mile (how far is it to the North Pole, anyway?) and got my dress dyed the specific color I needed.  (something that coordinates with Santa’s elves?) “And she kept me informed of everything. This was the first time I have ever ordered anything over the internet, and Sheri was so helpful. She gave me a sense of true customer service. I would order from her again in a second.”

All kidding aside: Lisa, we are thrilled that our Salon Partner, Sheri at The Red Dress, believes in good, old-fashioned customer service, and that she was able to help you get exactly what you envisioned for your special day.

We’re also thankful to you and your colleagues in the armed services, who do the tough jobs and go to the challenging places so we don’t have to. Your personal sacrifice is much appreciated, and we wish you and your new husband all the best for a warm and bright future.

Such a sweet story!
Disaster Dates

We’ve all been there. Maybe it was the one who “forgot” to bring money or the one who constantly brought up his “psycho” ex. Maybe the date never even showed up! Whatever the disaster, we’d love to hear about it! Share your story here. >>
