I've never been a one product kind of gal. I like to try all sorts of lotions and potions for my hair, body and face. I'll use drugstore products, department store products, things recommended by my facialist, my hair stylist, friends, cheap, expensive, middle of the road. I've been willing to try it all.

But then my skin went to shit. I was one of those odd teenagers who had good skin, but I hit my thirties and it was ON! Suddenly I was breaking out, my skin was flaky and dry. I didn't know what to do. I continued my tour through various lotions and potions trying to find a fix. I visited dermatologists, but I hated the harsh chemicals and prescription pills they always put me on.

And then this spring I started getting regular facials. The aesthetician was fantastic and really helpful in getting my skin back on track. Besides the masks that she applied and the moisturizers that she recommended, she also got me hooked on a different make-up.

Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals is fantastic! It's completely natural and it's actually good for your skin. I started using it this spring and I am hooked! It covers my splotchiness (oh, the joys of having fair skin!) and my breakouts have improved a TON!

The company is fantastic too. They send me a refill of my base powder color every 2 months and it always includes a free gift--a new lip gloss or eye shadow. I like free gifts!

So far I've done all of my BE shopping online, but this weekend I went into an actual BE store. It was just as great as the online experience. The salespeople were super-nice, the store is beautiful and they had great deals! I am officially a one make-up girl now!

The only bad news is that I no longer wander the make-up aisles at Target and Sephora buying this and that.

Now that I think about it, I suppose that news is actually worse for Target and Sephora than it is for me!

I love it too, I can't imagine using any other powder.

We all do it—pair the designer belt with the Target jeans, or the $200 bag with a thrift shop t-shirt. Whatever your tip for adding glam to your wardrobe, we’d like to hear about it. Share your techniques. >>
