This is a story that I have been wanting to write and tell everyone, so let me get started by saying you will have to bear with me on putting things down in words cause about five or six years ago I had a brain Aneurysm and my mind has a way where it just lets me explain things at certain times. My name is Kimberly Hawkins, and I am 43 years old. I have three daughters and two grandsons, and I am very thankful to God and many others for me even being alive today, but I am here to tell my story so maybe one day there can be some changes made to make things a lot brighter for someone else's future. About two years before my Aneurysm was found, I had started having really bad headaches kept going to a clinic and to the hospital by ambulance or car and all they would ever do is give me 2 or 3 shots and knock me out or either they would have a MRI done with nothing ever put in my veins and give me a shot or two and send me home. I was even picked up at the clinic one day by ambulance where I had fell out, and my head was about to explode and what did I get? Nothing but some more shots and would go home and wake up with my head hurting still. Until one day when my head got to hurting so bad and my face started swelling and I refused to leave until something was done to take my headache away. Well there was one nurse in the room where they done my MRI and she said something needed to be done in some kind of medical way and I ask for her to explain it to me and it meant putting stuff in my veins to make the image clear and show more detail. Well they done exactly that after about 53 visits to the hospital or to the clinic every two weeks for around two years, they flew me by helicopter to Greenville Memorial and done emergency surgery I stayed the hospital for five or six six days and was sent home with no rehab or nothing because of me not having medicaid or medicare or nothing. I seen the man that done my surgery about4 or 5 times and he released me. I still have a headache every second of everyday and I don't go back to the doctor because they say it is something I'll have to deal with. So about3 or 4 years ago I started smoking marijuana because it relieves my headache, well after a year and half of relief the police come in my house and find my medicine(marijuana) and I land up with three years probation, and suffering everyday with my head feeling so painful. I really need help with this aching unusual pain.
