A Scary Tale

One strange morning I woke from a horrible dream. I tried so hard to recall what had been so disturbing in the dream, but it always slips away. I let it go because I had been here before. Bad days are nothing new to me. I knew this would also pass. I call them the dark days, but this dark day got worse—not better. A strong feeling of true dread washed over my body. A bad dark day turned into a horrible dark day as I realized I could not tell real from imaginary anymore. I could not figure out where I was at all. Who are these people? I asked myself. God, please help me understand what they are saying to me. I am so scared now, but have nowhere to go. I am trapped here with these people. I cannot figure out how long I have been here. I’m thinking years. Where is my family God, and where is my son? I finally notice a woman dressed like a nurse, but is she real or not? I have no clue. I decide to try to speak to her to see if she may help me. I ask if she knows where I am and what is going on here. In a mean way she says to me “Young lady, you are in a mental institution, where you have been for years, and you will never leave this place.”
