Bask in the Light

Phil 4:8 Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise. (CEV)

A couple named Paul and Isabel were vacationing at the beach. They were sitting on the balcony outside their hotel room overlooking the ocean.

"This is the best vacation ever," said Isabel. "The sun is out, the people are friendly, and the water is just right! I'd love to come back next summer!"

"This is theworst vacation ever," said Paul. "It's too hot, the beach is too crowded and the saltwater stings my eyes. I'll never waste my money again!"

Friends, we can choose to be like Isabel and focus on the positive things in life. Or, we can choose to be like Paul and focus on the negative things.

Satandelights when we see things from his standpoint (2 Cor 4:4) but the Lord God desires for us to bask in the Light (John 8:12).
