Cancer Cannot Have My Hair

It’s as if cancer aims to take everything from us—our organs, our body parts, our health, our energy, our confidence, but some women are determined not to let cancer take their hair.

Women often feel a need to assert some control over their bodies and the many unwelcome changes that come with cancer treatment. Hair loss is often one of the most emotionally devastating aspects of cancer treatment for women because it visually signifies the presence of a disease that triggers deep fear in our hearts.

This is the very inspiring and touching story of Meredith Israel, a woman who decided that her hair was the one thing cancer was not going to take from her. View her story here.
