How true this is! God is forever faithful even to those of little or no faith. In a world over flowing with evil, there is only one hope that we can bank on. God’s faithfulness towards His children and creation. Throughout our fleshly lives, we often find ourselves in the midst of horrifying events. It is not unbelievable when one loses their way since the world as we see it always corrupts in the most perverse ways. We find great silence among the saints, and the growing popular fights to do a way with any religious affiliations in any public place. The world rapidly increases with hate crimes, wars, and selfish means. We consistently hear about having things our own way making it difficult to see the truth. Nine times out of ten, a person will give up. Not God! He will forever remain faithful to every promise He made and He will reign forever and ever.
We tend to believe this world cannot get any worse than it already is, or that the end is surely near. Let’s stop for a moment and think if thus is true. Take a trip with me to the Old Testament. Read slowly the history stories there. You cannot help but to discover, there is truly no difference in people today as there was then. The only honest difference is technology. The perverse minds, devilish actions, killing, prostitution, child abuse, sexual immorality, homosexual behavior, thieves, liars, murderers, rulers, and on and on existed then as they do now. Most of the evil happening today, happened yesterday and for the exact same reasons as they did yesterday. Of course, we believe it is worse. We are alive today, not yesterday.
Throughout each fleshly life on earth, we will face trials, storms, road blocks, you name it. God pointed this out to us many times. Jesus spoke of these things with His teachings, and Paul warned us time and time again. We cannot continue to blind ourselves to the reality of the truth. We cannot allow the efforts of the non-saints to triumph over us. There is times we must stand up and fight for God’s creation, OUR WORLD! We must not set back and watch as the devil presses forward with his attempts to control the lives of God’s children.
Children are literally growing up without moral values and cannot depict the difference between right and wrong. Even in the schools they are learning that it is okay to have other gods, to worship the devil, do drugs, drink, abuse themselves and others, and on and on. The filth on the airways tell the kids of the world that they should live for themselves without one thought given to the righteous life God intends us to live with. Most youth groups even show growing trends with condolence of their negative actions. Kids are confused without the truth accessible in their everyday lives.
Remember Jesus showed us the right way to get angry and let everyone see the error of their ways. He walk into the Temple to find the people had turned it into a market place. Jesus did not just simply stand there and watch or turn and walk away. He didn’t close His eyes in disbelief or cover His head for shame. Jesus got mad. He got angry and He destroy their market place while preaching the negatives of treating His Father’s house with such antics. He made sure He not only told, but showed them the difference between right and wrong.
I am not implying we should physically go after the evil doers with more violence, but I am saying we need to join together and battle to get things right in our world today. If we read the history of the Lord, we see many times where people battled for the sake of the Lord’s Kingdom. Today, it is rare to hear of such stances. We may hear of it happening in a third world country with missionaries, but what about the first class places of the world? We know the story of Jesus and how He went to the Cross, but still we cower ourselves away. We deny Him just as Peter did. Jesus says, “Any man ashamed/deny of Me, I will be ashamed/deny of them before My Father.” How can we just set here in silence? Knowing my Savior will be ashamed of or deny me if I refuse to acknowledge Him is enough to motivate me.
My entire life has been filled with many, many heartaches from the young age of a newborn until the present. God warns us over and over in the Word that we will face heartaches. He never claimed life on earth would be a bed of roses. It is how we’ll respond to these trials that matters. We can get mad and seek revenge. We could end our lives. We could even become withdrawn and close down our will to survive. Live as though life has no meaning or understanding, or roam around waiting to get paid what someone owes us. Or, we can put ALL our faith into God’s promise to NEVER leave us or forsake us! God is forever faithful.
I can share with boldness how faithful God is. The experiences throughout my life have included: child rape, molestation, abandonment, neglect, physical abuse, broken bones, adult rape, teen date rape, marriage rape, emotional abuse, rejection, etc … You can name it and most likely I have experienced it at some point or another. I became a mother at sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, and twenty, and again at twenty-eight. God surely blessed me with my children. For someone who spent a lifetime of tragic circumstances, God has to be the only logical way I survived.
Today, my oldest child is in college at one of the top Christian schools in the Nation. My next to graduate from high school this spring, has been accepted to the same Christian school. Both my daughters have lived a life without their biological father because he abandoned them. I decided as their mother not to allow them to use this as a crutch and teach them God’s divine Way. I am now being rewarded with the positive lives they are beginning to embark on. Now, my oldest son, sixteen has two handicaps that enable him from being able to exist as normal kids. He is deaf and his nasal passage ways are sealed. Still, I chose to raise him the Bible Way and he is coming into a very strong Christian young man. Lord knows we need more like him. My youngest son, top of his class like both his sisters. A very loving and giving young man at age fourteen. There is no doubt he will successfully turn out to be a remarkable man after the heart of God.
So, even though my children were raised without their biological father because he is in prison, God is still faithful. Without God, there is no possible way my children could have made it this far without making the huge mistakes of the typical teen. They have never touched drugs, sex, alcohol, or Satanism, nor have they ever had the desire to do so either. My second oldest daughter is a very active and known model and athlete. My oldest daughter is a very well rounded socialist and athlete. My oldest son, challenged with disabilities, an athlete with the biggest heart for sinners. He is not afraid to preach to his peers about the good and bad of their actions. My baby boy, one of kind. He stands bold and unafraid in his faith.
Then there is my niece, who live with me for the past seven years. She comes from the home of my sister who was damaged mentally from the trauma of our childhood. Again, she is a blessing although she comes to us with many emotional scares of the abuse she endured from her mother. God has guided us to be able to prevent her from having the lasting effects and the medications the world is so apt to put children on. She is scared, not sick. Through God’s infinite grace, my niece, now my daughter will be able to live free.
So, remember always God is FAITHFUL! If you want to hear more of my testimony about God’s faithfulness to us, catch my “There is Hope” series published on Emotional Well Being under “Abuse.” There you read the events of my life which has given me enough faith in God to stand up boldly. Someday in the near future I pray I’ll be able to complete a book about my life and how God has delivered me. Maybe, you will catch this if it is published. My wish is to reach the thousands of men, women, and children around the world whom suffer through the same challenges making them lose hope. I pray God will work through me to bring a message of HOPE to the world.
