There are so many people that appear to be walking through life with no purpose. People struggling through life with no sense of direction to where they are headed. Constantly saying inside, “I’m just glad to have a job.” Every time I hear that phrase I want to scream, and I hear it a lot. This type of attitude does not help in structuring your life into something that is meaningful. As long as you are “just glad to have a job,” you will never move to being glad you have a purpose. Do not settle for just being a member of society. Strive to be someone who has something to donate to a cause.
What are you looking for? I know that you are looking for something specific in life because you are reading this article. If you are looking for something specific why should you settle for just anything? We settle because we get easily discouraged and aren’t willing to be diligent at the things we want. The only person keeping you from getting what you want from life is you. I can tell you the secret to happiness right now but it’s up to you to do something with it.
Stop doing what you did yesterday.
Stop saying, “I’m just glad to have a job.”
Stop having pity parties with your friends.
Start being diligent.
Start being a fighter.
Start putting your dreams into motion.
Start seeing yourself as a success.
Start understanding that your job does not define you.
Start doing things that will get you one step closer to what you want and stop doing the things that aren’t helping. It’s like when you’re driving your car. If you’re headed in the wrong direction STOP, turn around and START going in the right direction.
Now, let’s go back and review the phrase “I’m just glad I have a job.” This is a sign of someone who has stopped fighting. If they would start fighting at least they would receive a job that they like.
