My latest experience with the law has been awful. I have an obsessed neighbor who is not handling me breaking off our friendship because I found teen porn saved under his favorites on his computer. He also wanted more than friendship from me and I did not, which I made quite clear to him, his wife, his daughter, and his niece. He had a plan with three parts. The plan was to get rid of my boyfriend, his wife, then to have me as his girlfriend. Well, the first two thirds of the plan worked and now his is acting psychotic because his entire plan did not work.
On October 30th, I went to the Police to have him arrested for harassment via email for four emails he sent after I told him to stop. I also told them I found teen porn on his computer and also reported he created a porn account under my email address with the password, amuck … meaning to run in sudden frenzy towards murder.
I have contacted the FBI who says it’s a state crime. The State police say it’s the State Attorney General’s job, but they say it’s the State Police’s job. The Victim Advocate Coordinator (who just told me on December 4th I was not top priority) and Assistant District Attorney have not returned my calls.
Under the direction of the State Attorney General’s Office, I called the police again to speak with a State Police Criminal Investigator. I went on to tell him about the porn account, the threatening chat codes with my granddaughter’s and eight-months-pregnant daughter’s initials in them. He cut me off saying he didn’t need details. He informed me my neighbor is an idiot, a pest, pain in the ass, and jerk who has messed with one of his own State Troopers, who live down the street from us, three times and lost. He said having him arrested just pissed him off making him harass me even more. He told me to change my email address saying he did the same because of a divorce. How dare he compare a divorce to a disturbed/obsessed person? He said changing my email is the only way he was going to stop because he loves the game. Okay, so he just told me he was arrested three times for harassing a State Trooper, but they won’t do a damn thing to help me. How about arresting him again like you did for the Trooper, but too him that will only make matter worse. WHAT! I never heard anything so ridiculous in my life. Well, I am sure I have, but this is a current one.
I told him about him using his family names in the chats and him pleading guilty to harassing me through email. He said to me, “And how did that work for you? He just found other ways to harass you, right?” I said, so I am damned if I do and damned if I don’t. He said yes, pretty much so. I said but shouldn’t something be done to prove he is still harassing/stalking me thru the computer after he pleaded guilty?
He then asked me, as if I was an idiot, if I ever heard of probable cause saying there is not enough to get a warrant to take his computer. I asked if we could contact his internet provider to get obtain the websites he accessed since this all began. He told me it wouldn’t prove anything. I then ask about getting his IP address. He said an IP address wouldn’t prove anything.
He said the only way to prove anything is to get his hard drive. I then asked to do this, but he said there was not enough probably cause for a warrant to seize his computer. I said but if you would listen to my evidence then maybe there would be. His reply was, “We have been on the phone for forty-five minutes and I have sixty other cases to get to!” He then sarcastically asked, “Should I have a trooper sent out, so they could arrest him again so he can continue to harass you?” But wait a minute. Didn’t he just say there was no enough evidence to do anything to him? I had to bite my tongue because I wanted to curse him out so bad, but then I would have been charged with disorderly conduct because no one can talk badly to cops because they are God with a badge and they get away with everything. They can curse you out and that is okay, which is very unprofessional to me. Domestic situations are part of their jobs. If they cannot deal with them or don’t want to, then they need to find another profession.
I told him I’m not afraid of my stalker asking him if I find him on my property and hurt him will I get arrested. He said, “Well, there you go. If you are not afraid of him, what are you worried about?” I told him I was worried about him threatening my granddaughter and pregnant daughter through his chat codes using their initials. He told me if I cause bodily harm on my own property I could be charged with simple assault or aggravated assault, but if I don’t cause bodily injury I would be fined $300 for harassment. Why should I have to protect myself when there are laws to protect me? Why isn’t law enforcement doing their jobs? Is it too much paperwork for them? As he said he had 60 other cases to deal with making me feel I was inconveniencing him. Oh, but if I was his loved one, the stalker’s computer would’ve been seized by now and he would be locked up in prison without bond.
I am a woman who shouldn’t have to fight a man. I shouldn’t be charge for protecting my family or my property. No one is helping me even when he continues to harass me after pleading guilty to such. I need help before my girls or I end up dead and/or raped. Will it be their jobs then? Will someone please help us from this lunatic?
