To get the most out of your core strengthening exercises, you have to really concentrate on the core muscles. That is exactly what the Fifer Scissor Twist does. You’ll start out lying on your back. Bring one leg and the opposite arm up and tap them together. Rather than swinging through this core exercise, hold for three counts then slowly lower your limbs down and tap the other leg and arm together, holding again for three counts. It’s that little hold that fully engages the core muscles for the best ab exercises and oblique exercises. Perform 30 reps.
