If you are like millions of women in the United States, you have been on several diets and diet programs. You may have lost weight, only to regain it as well as extra pounds. Frustrating, isn't it? You know you should eat better or exercise more. That is your conscious mind. You have the best intentions. But something stops you from getting there? Have you ever thought that you might be sabotaging your efforts unconsciously? That’s right. It becomes a vicious loop. We are all creatures of habit, culture, and upbringing with a long list of negative programming. What if there was a tool that could get inside your head and reset some of those negative self-talks. Wouldn't you want to know about it?
Hypnosis is an effective tool to access your mind-body connection. It is a method that allows the mind and the body to share information more effectively. A method of doing that is the trance. By being in a trance, the subconscious accepts your intentions, beliefs, and expectations as being true. The subconscious mind always gets you what you want. A trance state is one of total pleasant relaxation. This state allows for the ideas, thoughts, and images to be absorbed by the subconscious; outside distractions are heard but not emphasized. You are always in control. No one can make you do anything that you normally wouldn’t do.
Hypnosis has been successfully used for weight loss either by itself or in conjunction with diet and exercise for years. There is plenty of research to substantiate this. So how do hypnotists change your thoughts? There are several ways to reach your subconscious. One way is to provide suggestions, such as eating more healthy foods and avoiding those that are not good for you; another way is to describe how to achieve the outcome. A very useful method is to have the person imagine their ideal weight. What do they look like? When are they at their ideal weight? What steps were taken to achieve that ideal weight? The brain and the nervous system respond only to mental images. It does not matter if the image is self-induced, or from an external world. Once an idea has been accepted by the unconscious mind, it remains until it is replaced by another idea.
So it is very clear that our thoughts are very powerful; if we want to change our actions we must begin by changing our thoughts. Consider hypnosis as the ultimate tool in your weight loss success.
