I'm a seemingly-normal gal with an abnormal perspective on the people and activities around me. I seldom think like other people, and they seldom think like me. It makes for interesting interactions, most days.

The older I get the less tolerance I have for the way people treat each other. I believe that the human race has (mostly) forgotten behaviors such as common courtesy, graciousness and forgiveness (and may include myself in these categories, depending on the day I'm having...). We could be nicer to each other, but we rarely are.

I am "Mom" to a just-turned 18 year old son. Our journey together has not been an easy one, and we have not always been easy on each other. Much of who I am today is a direct result of the parent he needed me to be, and the woman I couldn't wait to become.

I am "StepMom" to three of the most amazing young people I could have ever hoped to know. They are all very different from each other, and I am fortunate enough to have forged relationships with each of them, independent of the mutual love we share for their father.

I am "honey", "baby", "sugar" and "wife" to the smartest man I've ever known. He is my main motivator, and my biggest fan. I am lucky enough to work with him every day, side-by-side. He is one of the few people I have ever known that I could spend so much time with and still like him at the end of the day. In spite of the fact that I often poke a great deal of fun at my husband in my articles, he and our marriage are my top priorities. Everything I do and pursue is in honor of this relationship with which I have been graced.

Together, my husband and I have one novel published. I currently have a second novel in works, and I am writing various articles for online distribution.  I write a weekly film column at an women's social network and maintain a personal blog that shares content with my movie column and my individual perspectives and observations.
