I'm the editor of the essay collection My Father Married Your Mother: Dispatches from the Blended Family (W.W. Norton and Co.) and co-editor, with Christina Baker Kline, of the forthcoming essay collection "About Face: 25 Women Look in the Mirror and Write about What They See" (Seal Press, Spring 2008). My own essays and fiction have appeared in publications including Working Mother, Salon.com, The Christian Science Monitor and in lots of anthologies, and I've been a commentator for NPR's All Things Considered and Talk of the Nation. I've appeared on The Today Show twice to talk about stepfamilies. I live in New Jersey with my husband, daughter, and stepdaughter.
