Akira Fuyuno is not my real name. It is a pseudonym I created back in college when I really thought I will be a novelist one day. Things didn't turn out quite that way and I am now a professional living in a southern island of Japan. I am a male, mid-forties, married with children, non-smoking, non-gambling academic type who just happens to have had a little bit too many embarassing misadventures. I hope to entertain as well as present useful precautions by sharing them with you. My essays will be primarily Japan-related because that is where I live and what I know the most about. There seems to be a certain number of people interested in Japan in every group, so I hope I will be able to reach those people and create my niche in that area.
