I am a psychotherapist in private practice focusing on issues affecting girls and women. I work with people struggling with eating, body image problems as well as serious eating disorders. I love to write, teach, travel, cook, eat wonderful food, as well as make and view art. I'm astounded that I can grow whole tomatoes in containers on my patio. I moved out of New York City a few years ago and l now live in Westchester County, NY. I see wildlife out of my kitchen window (including seeing a mountain lion last March). My greatest source of wonder and passion is parenting my six-year old boy, Liam Kai. I'm on the faculty of the Women's Therapy Centre Institute in NYC and write frequent commentary on issues related to women.
