My mind doesn’t shut down much, never has. I designed cross stitch patterns, quilted, did all kinds of complicated stitchery to keep me sane when my kids were little. Played the piano and after Jocelyn turned 5 threw myself into becoming Jingles the clown and making it a successful business. All the different types of things you could do with that plus homeschooling all three kids after Jocelyn turned 7 kept me busy. After the economy took a nose dive in Mississippi my clowning business and then my marriage went down the tubes.  I shut down my business, packed my kids and our belongings into the contents of a minivan and headed to Alabama.  These articles are my story of going from Jingles the clown to award winning physicist in under 5 years.
