I am a 64 year old wife, mother, grandmother and more. I live in Vicksburg, Mississippi with my husband, my dog and my cat. I expect a lot of you will stop reading here. Doesn't sound very interesting, does it? But it is and I'm more more more. I am a passionate reader (all of my life) and devour fiction and some non-fiction. Favorite book? Too many to tell, but one stands out, always, because it probably made a reader of me - Little Women, which I have read so many times I can't count them, beginning about age 9 and still today. Some other favorites are Lonesome Dove, Exodus, The Ha Ha, Winds of War,The World According to Garp, So Brave,Young and Handsome, The Heaven of Mercury, and on and on. I am the mother of two grown, beautiful, accomplished daughters, who thrill my soul every day. I have three grandsons who are precious to me. My youngest grandson has Asperger's Syndrome, which is on the autism spectrum. This makes him truly special, and as well it presents many challenges for us all in learning to deal with his needs. I am married to my sweetheart and we enjoy our days together very much. I enjoy many things - cooking, gardening (when it isn't too hot - which it is most of the summer in Mississippi), friends and family. Gatherings at our house are always crowded, noisy, and filled with food and fun. God is my refuge and strength and I am spiritual if not religious. There is a difference. I attend a small Baptist church and pray daily for God's comfort and support. That's it, or part of it. Read me and you will learn more.
