I'm Jennifer Broadley, founder of http://www.SuccessfulSingleParenting.com!

I was brought up in Africa for the first 6 years of my life, then did school in the north of Scotland and University in Edinburgh. I then lived and worked in Hong Kong, Australia and Indonesia before returning to the UK in 1997 and have based myself in London ever since.

I was married at 31, divorced at 32 and have single parented my daughter since I was 3-months pregnant. I returned to my publishing-industry job after just 14 weeks of maternity leave and three months later I was made redundant… talk about stressful! I had a daughter, a full time nanny share, a mortgage and all the bills that go with London living and parenting. I’d had a period of post natal depression and I was struggling with finances, single parenting, self worth, communication with the ex and health and fitness. Looking back now though, tough as that period was, it was the best thing that could ever have happened.

Within 2 months, and with lots of encouragement (and equal amounts ‘do you know what you’re doing?’!) from family and friends, I’d signed up with a school in the U.S. and was retraining as a corporate coach. I set up my practice, Smart Coaching International (www.SmartCoachingInternational.com), in October 2003 and have been self employed and building the business ever since. I run SCI from a home office on a 4-day week. I drop my daughter at school every morning, collect her every evening and we have a 3-day weekend together whenever we can. She has an amazing relationship with her dad – who she stays with every other weekend.

It’s been a challenging (and fantastically rewarding) journey so far. I’ve learned some priceless lessons and skills from other single parents, entrepreneurs, coaches as well as from books and the good old school of hard knocks! I have hope, a vision and a completely new relationship with risk! I’m passionate about family and doing it well whatever the environement. It’s skills, support and community that make the difference and my vision is to supply all 3 of these in abundance at Successful Single Parenting (http://www.SuccessfulSingleParenting.com).

Whether you’re brand new to this or have been doing single parenting for years, I'd love you to join me and our adventurous and increasingly successful single parents.

Know that in each moment, you're in exactly the right place to attract abundance to you,
Light and life to you,
Jennifer
x
