My story is not remarkable or that unusual from many others who fight cancer on a daily, if not hourly basis. However, when I share my story I frequently hear that I should write a book, or at least blog about it. I’ve learned that people become inspired when they hear about success and a willingness to “duke it out” with cancer, and if when inspired, they feel empowered to take action that generates hope, then it’s worth taking the time to share more.

When first diagnosed with a Stage II Glioma Astrocytoma on December 28, 2005, my attitude was and always will be that Cancer picked the wrong brain to mess with. In 2010 I will celebrate five years of living with an inoperable Brain Tumor. I’m a Survivor, and I’m also fortunate that my cancer was identified before it grew to become more deadly. My Tumor still lives in my brain, but it doesn’t control it. My chances of living a long and vital life are good if I continue to take care of myself. I started to share my story through my blog. My writing is coming from a place of wanting to share my experiences and my resources on how a deadly form of cancer is fought, contained and hopefully, one day defeated. Meanwhile, I use what I refer to as my “Lifeforce”, it’s a personal philosophy which encompasses tools, support, resources, and a mindset that I’ve incorporated into my journey. When combined, they help to keep me strong, vital and alive!

http://www.karinslifeforce.com/blogs/lifeforce
