I live in the Southeast, in a bungalow that was built in 1925. It's a fairly big house, but with me, my husband, our nine-month-old baby and a 95-pound dog, it often feels like it's about to burst. If it burst, I think plastic toys, dog bones, old towels and books would definitely be the first things to seep out of the edges. My most adventurous job was teaching high school English Literature to 160 kids in the Dominican Republic. I lived there for a year, until my whole body was one big sunburned freckle and I'd eaten probably 1,000 pounds of rice and beans and platanos. I'm a Neighborhood and World editor for DivineCaroline, and would love to hear your stories. There seems to be an endless number of inspirational stories about people forging positive change in the world.
