Laura McHolm had an unlikely start for a moving company co-founder and marketing director. After attending the University of California at Berkeley at the young age of 16, she dove into the world of computer programming. She joined on with Apple while the company was still in its infancy, then went on to create and market games like Pac Man at Atari. Laura then tackled her next challenge, earning a computer law degree from the University of Oxford. Next, she moved on to Intel, and from there worked for an inventor of intellectual properties.

At just 22, she was featured on the TV program “Today’s Women” and in the publication “Who’s Who in Law and Business”.

In the mid 1990s she moved away from the Fortune 500, partnering with Ram Katalan to launch NorthStar Moving Company. Her vast and varied experience has garnered her the confidence to succeed in this new realm. Today, NorthStar Moving is the leading residential and commercial mover in California, recommended by the Better Business Bureau, the Franklin Report, and used by an impressive array of celebrity clientele. Laura now lives in Santa Monica, California with her husband.
