At a time when my friends were retiring, I began freelance writing. I've never stopped! Today, I've written more than 500 bylined articles in Reuters International, People, Veranda, Pink Magazine, Women’s Wear Daily, Southern Living, Canada Architecture & Design, Atlanta Magazine, and others. Along the way, I've gone some fabulous places and met some incredible people (all icing on a career I love!). I'm currently helping a Holocaust survivor write her memoir, "Nine Lives of a Mariage -- 55 Years of Love, Betrayal and Triumph."

In 2006, I received first place awards for investigative reporting from the National Association of Press Women and Alabama Media Professionals. Recently, I won two additional awards for investigative and enterprise reporting. I was also accepted into the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) and I'm a member of The National Association of Press Women, Alabama Media Professionals, and the Atlanta Press Club. But the most fun of all is spending time with my 7 grandkids!
