I am a single, 50 something , flirty , fabulous, green eyed, red head that currently lives in a small town in North Florida.

Currently, I am the pet of a six toe'd cat named Romeo who choose me when I visited a animal shelter while I was going through my divorce. Only a cat lover can understand that description. Romeo has remained loyal and stayed with me while boyfriends have come and gone. I now realize at times Romeo is a better judge of character then I am.

I am a mother of three great kids and grandmother of 12 fabulous grandkids.

Years ago I got my feet wet in local politics, campaigning was a wonderful experience and it was something that I will never regret doing. I believe we owe it to our children and their children to make the towns they live in a good place to call home. Yes, politics are as dirty as you've imagined and he who has the largest campaign funding war chest usually wins. That most people who enter politics do so for personal gain vs. making a positive difference in their community. If you listen to political candidates speak you will soon notice that most actually say nothing. They nod, smile a lot.

I love to laugh, sing and I look at life as an adventure. I love to travel and recommend Paris France. It is breathtaking!

I know what I want and like. I am down to earth and compassionate. I am passionate about what I believe in.

My hobbies are knitting, knitting and more knitting, gardening, dancing and enjoying the water on a sunny day. Cooking out and having good friends over. My current project - socks for me!

I love hearing the sounds of laughter when children are playing, the giggles of a baby, the way the air smells after its rained. Hearing birds sing and seeing Spring bloom all around me after a long cold winter.

I've learned that you have to love yourself first before others can love you. Always be good to yourself and treat yourself to nice things, after all you are your own best friend!

Love your family and friends and live each day like there may be no tomorrow.
Never go away angry. You may not have the opportunity to say "I am sorry" to that person again.
Never pass up the opportunity to tell someone you love them or how much you care.
You never know what you are capable of until you try doing something you've never done before.

A good friend who listens to your ramblings on the phone for hours on end is priceless. My friend LeAnn can attest to that.
Trust in God, he is there, he does care, and he listens when no one else will.

I am learning that I can't do it all or have it all and be all to everyone. That having it all isn't what its all cracked up to be. Stuff is just stuff and I can live without a lot of stuff that I thought I couldn't live without.
To my own self I have to be true. Its okay to ask for help and its okay to cry. Crying can be like a bath for the soul.

I have discovered that I am not a great speller and spell checker is a blessing and a curse. That a dictionary is only good if you know how to spell the word correctly. I've noticed that people seem to die in alphabetical order, if you doubt me just look in the obituaries in your local news paper. I have also discovered that I'm not as tough as I'd like to think I am and not as tough as some people think I am. That it is nice to have a man to lean on, talk to, spend time with and depend on.

I've noticed my life didn't actually begin until my marriage ended. I have traveled more, met more people, made more friends and laughed more than I ever did while married.
Life comes at us with twists, turns and bumps, its how we handle those things that counts.
