The last thirteen years have been a journey, one that I probably wasn't "qualified" for. That journey is called motherhood. Yes, I read the books, but truthfully, the books in no way prepared me for what parenting is really like. My husband and I were the first in our families to have children. None of our friends had children. We were the "child having pioneers" in our little group I guess you could say. We both would ask our parents for advice and while they were happy to share, things had changed a lot in 30 years. Our boys are now 11 and 13 and do we know what we are doing? No, but don't tell our kids. We are simply doing the best we can with what we have and truly enjoying the journey. We question ourselves daily, wondering if we are handling things the best way, but we have to go with that gut feeling sometimes and simply hope for the best, loving our kids and each other through it all....

In addition to being a SAHM, I manage my two blogs:

Busy Family
Cottage and Vine
