I am a former Bay Area newspaper reporter and now, a freelance writer, doing a little bit of everything. Besides college and stints abroad, I have always lived near San Francisco. But I promised myself that I would never live in it -- or at least not during the summer! Now that I am here, I can't leave. I live next to Golden Gate Park and can walk to my favorite "hippy" market on Haight Street, not to mention dozens of great restaurants and bars. On gorgeous days, I bike across the Golden Gate Bridge and into the Marin hills. What's not to like?

I love good food, both cooking it and going out to eat. And I adore wine. In fact, my family owns Stagecoach Vineyard in the Napa Valley and also makes Veraison and Black Bart wines. My self-proclaimed role in the family biz is to drink our wine and persuade others to join in the fun, so check us out at http://www.kruppbrothersestates.com/ or become a fan on the Krupp Brothers facebook page.
