<span>Author, educator, and motivational speaker, Sojourner Marable Grimmett presents a message of love, education and service. A native of Boulder, Colorado, her experiences in higher education spanning nearly a decade have involved her in college admissions, student services and community relations. Her energy and imagination have inspired her to become involved in a variety of constructive activities involving people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds.<br /> <br /> </span> <div class="MsoNormal"><span>Sojourner has been widely recognized for writing and speaking about the joys and challenges of being a &quot;stay-at-work&quot; mom and connects with moms, both new and experienced, who have the responsibility of raising a family and maintaining a full-time job. As a newly-minted stay-at-work mom, what is unique about her writing style is that she speaks effectively to young adults in their 20s and 30s who are confronted with balancing professional goals with the demands of raising children.<br /> <br /> </span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"><span>Sojourner's philosophy of life is that she &quot;never meets a stranger.&quot; Passionate about educational excellence, Sojourner has developed programs promoting inclusiveness, encouraging women and men to reach their personal goals and full potential. Sojourner previously worked at CNN, Georgia Public Television, and as an AmeriCorps member at Harvard University's Martin Luther King Jr. after-school program.<br /> <br /> </span></div> <div class="MsoNormal"><span>She has a BA in communications from Clark Atlanta University '01 and an MA in media studies from Pennsylvania State University '03.
