I am a native Kentuckian, having grown up in the eastern part of the state. I was born in Georgia back in the days when it was Democratic.

I spent most of my adult life in Louisville, Kentucky as a public school teacher. I taught everything to everybody, but mostly in elementary schools, and mostly in special education. I spent two years teaching American Literature in a psychiatric hospital. I've also taught 2 years of American Lit in Istanbul, Turkey, a year in Cordele, Georgia ('boy, you ain't from around here, are you?') and a year on an Indian reservation in Arizona. While in Arizona, I got my culinary degree and can cook just about anything.

I've been married a couple of times, and have two beautiful and intelligent daughters, one in Missouri, an MD, and the other in Louisville, an RN. No grandkids, and from their remarks, I won't be having any, either.

I'm a full-time writer now. I decided, at the insistent encouragement of a wonderful friend, to take the plunge and give it a go. I love it, too. I'm working on a series of novels, all related, sci-fi stuff. I'm finding short stories I've written and forgot about too, all over the place. Guess I'll be dusting them off, too.

It's great to be here. I'm enjoying this site very much.
