I'm an Army brat and a Navy wife.  I've spent my entire life surrounded by men in uniform (lucky me).  My father was a career Army officer in Special Forces.  He did two tours in Vietnam, was MIA for 13 days and retired after 32 years. My husband is a Naval Officer with 24 years of service.  We have the priveledge of parenting two teenage boys ( and we still maintain the appearance of sanity).  I was born in Germany and have spent a great deal of time traveling, but I'm still a New Orleans Native.  That is where I'm at home.  New Orleans has this Old World feel and charm that reminds me of Europe, but there is a certain eclectic flavor to the city and it's people that is unique.  My accent, my habits, even my thought processes are all deeply rooted in southern tradition.  I come from seven generations of interracial marriage, so my heritage like my city, is an eclectic mix. I am proudly Italian, Irish, African-American and Cherokee.  I was raised surrounded by women.  My mother, grand-mother and three sisters are all exotic, beautiful, intelligent, independant and poised.  Their expeiriences have become my life lessons.  They are my role model. If my life were a quilt it would be big, bright, and colorful, with a soft, warm side.  I hope you like what I write.  Please, drop me a note anytime.
