<p>Mrs. Yolonda Yvette Sims Goodman Autobiography Mrs. Yolonda Yvette Sims Goodman is a native of Columbia South Carolina. She successfully completed her Master of Arts degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University. She is a South Carolina State graduate Magna Cum Laude and Dean&rsquo;s list student. She attended the historical Voorhees College in Denmark, South Carolina for her undergraduate work in Sociology with a minor in Elementary Education. Mrs. Yolonda Yvette Sims Goodman received continuing education credits as an Elementary School teacher during the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools and Colleges&rsquo; conferences, and workshops during South Carolina Regions and Georgia Regions training and workshops in 1999. She is a inactive member of the National Rehabilitation Counseling Association for professional Rehabilitation Counselors, she is a current active member of Sigma Xi Chapter of Benedict college and served as an advisor for Phi Beta Lambda Business Organization for three semesters while employed with Benedict College of Columbia South Carolina. However, this bright young lady was an active member with the Voorhees College Phi Beta Lambda Chapter in the year of 1987-1988, serving the Voorhees College Community as well, while she attended Voorhees as an undergraduate student. Mrs. Yolonda Yvette Sims Goodman&nbsp;an active member with the following organizations: National Association for Female Executive Women; Local president of the Women&rsquo;s Council Department of the Greater Faith Temple Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which is affiliated with the Churches of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc., and American Psychological Association- Division #36 &ldquo;Religious Psychology.&rdquo; &nbsp;She has served as an Elementary school teacher for the following private Christian Schools: Colonial Christian Academy; Covenant Christian Academy; Outreach Christian Academy, and she has served faithfully with professional dedication to the Benedict College Community as a Leadership Development Instructor for the past&nbsp;8 years. Mrs. Yolonda Yvette Sims Goodman also serves Benedict College Part-Time as well as an Adjunct Professor in the Criminal Justice Social Science Department. Mrs. Yolonda Yvette Sims Goodman is a Motivational speaker, and has lectured during the International Planning Sessions of the Women&rsquo;s Council Department of South Carolina Upper State Diocese and Missionary services. She is also a talented singer who&nbsp;sing professionally during her acting experiences with South Carolina State University Henderson Davis Theater. She has stared in major cast roles in various Broadway plays;&nbsp; she obtained &ldquo;Outstanding Actress of the Year&rdquo;, she has performed at the Kennedy Fine Arts Center, and Howard University both located in Washington DC, and has performed at The Columbia South Carolina May fest celebrations, and other surrounding areas of Columbia South Carolina displaying her singing and acting abilities. She is an excellent cook and outstanding mother, counselor and friend. Mrs. Yolonda Yvette Sims Goodman is the wife of Pastor Elder James A. Goodman of The Greater Faith Temple Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Inc. She is the mother of four productive children, Aaron, Jonathan, Lydia, and Peter,and a grandmother. Mrs. Yolonda Yvette Sims Goodman love for higher learning has motivated her to obtain her Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Counseling Studies from Capella University, she desire to share her overcoming story: Qualitative Clinical Counseling Research. Mrs. Yolonda Yvette Sims Goodman says, &ldquo;I am grateful for my accomplishments.&rdquo; There are true struggles sometimes, but when I look how far God has brought my family and me, I can truly witness God&rsquo;s awesome power in my life. There is no struggle too great that we cannot overcome in time and with &ldquo;Chance&rdquo;.&nbsp; As stated by popular successful people, &ldquo;Time and Chance happens to us all.&rdquo; What makes the Great, Great? Greater is Jesus Christ that is in me then he that is in the world.</p>
