How to Do a Professional Looking Root Touch-up at Home with a Touch-up Pen
Hi there. This is Aubrey from Studio DNA Salons in Los Angeles. I'm going to show you a technique to buy you an extra few days maybe a week to get your roots touched up. Specially those of you who have the gray hair. I know I have to say it but those of you who have gray hair, this is a great way to buy an extra up to a week before you have to go into the salon to get your roots touched up. So, I'm gonna show you. Although Kim does not have gray hair, I'm gonna show you the dry shampoo that I like using. It actually comes in a variety of colors. My clients love it specially those with darker hair. They do have gray hair 'cause they just spray it on everyday. It does runs out when you're in the shower. So, it's a daily application. So just remember it does runs out. It's very easy to use. Specially on the area that you part your hair. So, our model Kim parts her hair on the right hand side and if she wanted to touch up her roots, that's exactly where she's gonna spray it. You wanna spray it on the area where you part your hair. So, just wanna shake it up. It is a dry shampoo. So, it's fantastic 'cause it does give you extra body and it also absorbs any oils, natural oils from your scalp. So, it cleans your hair at the same time and add color to it. So, easy application. And for Kim's color, I'm using a color that's blondish. So, it's just kind of blending into her existing highlights, taking away the look of a root. Now, obviously like I've said before, if you are someone who has gray hair, this is the perfect tool for you. Just on that part, give it a few seconds to dry. Tilt your head over. And you're good to go.
