Pink Color-Blocked Nails
Try this two-tone color-block effect for runway-ready nails. You can try vertical, horizontal or diagonal color-blocked sections accented with skinny silver striping tape. What girl wouldn't love pink-on-pink nails?
Tone on tone nail looks are super hot, but you don't have to master some complicated technique to get the look. This light and dark effect is fresh, fun and totally doable. To start, gather your materials. You'll need light and dark pink polishes. You'll also need Scotch tape, silver nail striping tape, cuticle scissors, straight scissors, a base coat and a clear top coat. After applying a base coat to protect your nails, apply a light pink polish to each nail and let dry. You may need 2 coats to get an opaque pink. Let that polish completely dry before starting the next step. Using scissors, cut strips of Scotch tape to mark off your design. The tape allows you to get a crisp, color-blocked effect. You can create diagonal, vertical or horizontal sections. Try a different one on each finger if you want. Apply the dark pink polish to your nails. It's okay if you get some paint on the Scotch tape. That's what it's there for. Let the polish dry then remove the tape. Add strips of silver striping tape to accent your color-blocking. Use cuticle scissors to trim the ends of the striping tape then add a final top coat to seal the design. Doesn't that look great? A color-blocked nail effect that looks runway chic.
